Thomas E. Estrada, Jr

September 26th 1948 to January 24th 2020

Thomas Earl Estrada, Jr., age 71, of Woodstock, Georgia, departed this life January 24, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Tom, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan to his parents, Colonel Thomas E. Estrada, Sr. and Joan Lowe Estrada. Tom served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Navy and he retired from Cobb County Government. Following his retirement, Tom was an avid musician. and enjoyed sailing and being on or in the water.

Tom will forever be remembered with love and honor by his family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife, Dee Summer-Estrada; children and spouses, Adam (Kristy Arrington-Estrada) and Nicole NeSmith (Jeffrey); sister, Sharrie Bulzan; brother, Richard Estrada; sisters-in-law, Sharon Merrill, Sherry Estrada and Jennifer Hard; brothers-in-law; Guy George Bulzan and Ed Merrill; grandchildren; Darden Thomas NeSmith, Colton NeSmith, Sullivan NeSmith and Andrew Estrada, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Services to celebrate the life of Tom will be held as follows:

  • Monday, February 3, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services
  • Inurnment services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia
  • A reception will be held from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Eagle Watch Country Club
